Xandex Solar Signs Agreement with DC Power Systems for SunMizer(TM) North American Distribution
Agreement includes a joint marketing and dealer/installer training plan
PETALUMA, Calif. — Xandex Solar, the solar products and services division of Xandex Inc. announced today that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with DC Power Systems for North America distribution of its new SunMizer(TM) DC power optimizer.
“We are energized and pleased to establish a strategic relationship with DC Power Systems,” said Ted Wong, Channel Partner Sales Manager for Xandex Solar. “DC Power’s reputation as a leading renewable energy distributor and their adoption of only the best new and innovative products ensure that SunMizer will receive the highest level of exposure and support possible. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”
SunMizer is a new DC power optimizer that increases solar energy harvest by recovering power that is lost when shade falls on a solar panel. By isolating the shaded solar panel(s) from the rest of the panels in a series connected string, SunMizer prevents the shaded panel from drawing down the power output of the un-shaded panels. With SunMizer’s unique “Selective Installation,” units are only installed on shaded panels yet can recover over 50% of system level power loss.
In addition to sales and distribution of SunMizer DC power optimizers, the partnership will include joint marketing and a training program, including live sessions and webinars to educate DC Power Systems’ extensive network of dealers and installers. Product training is scheduled to begin in Q4 2009. SunMizer will be jointly introduced at Solar Power International 2009 in Anaheim, CA, October 27-29 in Xandex Solar Booth #2252 and DC Power Systems Booth #801. – Xandex Solar, a Division of Xandex Inc.
